On June 23rd 2017 a press release went out explaining Danberry’s new program to amplify Danberry charitable giving within our community.
Lynn Fruth, CEO of the Danberry Company, Realtors, is excited to announce a special event, recognizing the company for their commitment to serving the community with volunteer hours. The Danberry Community Benefits Program is designed to increase and enhance the efforts by Danberry Family Members in giving back to the community by focusing attention on individual efforts and rewarding a select few of them on an annual basis.
Every member of the team is being encouraged to give back to the community in an activity that the individual selects. This simple requirement results in an invitation to an annual recognition event. Also at the event, 3 members of the Danberry Family will be selected by a panel of non-Danberry judges for their outstanding contributions. $1000, $500 and $250 will be awarded to the charities or activities of the 3 selects.
2017’s Annual Community Benefits Event was held at the National Museum of the Great Lakes with food provided by Mancy’s Steakhouse. Special Guest, Arturo Polizzi of ProMedica spoke to the group and shared the importance of giving back. He stated that, like ProMedica, The Danberry Co., Realtors is an anchor institution and a true fabric of our community.
The Community Benefits Event congratulated The Danberry Co, Realtors; it’s Management Team, Agents and Staff, on collectively contributing more than 2,865 hours of community service to 91 organizations, churches and schools in and around Toledo! Throughout the year, with this focus in mind, Danberry has had the honor to contribute to different organizations in our area.
Mosaic Ministries of South Toledo is one of those organizations, very near and dear to Danberry. Throughout 2016 and 2017, over 2,500 in book donations for area youths were collected and presented to the facility. The book drive is a year round effort and our West Toledo office location at 3242 Executive Pkwy Toledo Ohio 43606, is always accepting donations to add to our annual drop off!
Danberry’s largest annual initiative is The Danberry Treasure Chest Charity Auction Dinner. Throughout the year leading up to this annual event, Danberry offices, staff members, agents, and leadership team alike join forces to raise money to benefit this amazing cause!
The Danberry Treasure Chest is a charity organization that provides direct emergency funds to local families battling chronic or debilitating disease through ProMedica Toledo Children’s Hospital. In 2017 alone, $136,500 was donated to ProMedica Toledo Children’s Hospital through the Danberry Treasure Chest fund. Since its inception in 1994, Danberry Realtors has raised over $901,500 in Treasure Chest contributions. This has enabled the fund to assist over 794 families in the ProMedica Toledo Children’s Hospital region of Northwest Ohio and Southeast Michigan.
Throughout the year notable events are held that directly fuel the Danberry Treasure Chest yearly donation. The annual golf outing, held in the summertime, has raised up to $9,000! Mark your calendar to support this event next year, Thursday, July 19, 2018 at Bedford Hills Golf Club.
Other office contributions have included corn hole tournaments, white elephant gift exchanges, coffee bars, cookouts, and more! Read all about last years event and final numbers here and here.
Danberry giving doesn’t end with The Treasure Chest. Our annual coat drive, currently underway, accepts donations of new coats for children as well as adults in need. The Westgate location at 3242 Executive Pkwy serves as the drop off station before coats are distributed to the community. This year we hope to break our previous goals and give back even more!
