After the tour, enjoy musical entertainment, a raffle, and refreshments at the Maumee Senior Center. Weather permitting, there will be a locally owned “tiny home” to tour at the senior center, as well. The home tours run this Sunday, December 8th from 12-4. Tickets are $25 the day of the tour or $20 in advance and can be purchased at several local Maumee merchants including the Maumee Indoor Theatre, In Bloom Flowers and Gifts, Clara J’s Tea Room, and the Wolcott House Museum.
You won’t want to miss these spectacular homes all decked out for the holidays, straight out of a scene from a Hallmark Christmas movie. Step back in time and hear the history of each home and how they’ve transformed over the years. Here is a sneak peek of what you can expect to see this Sunday.
Classic Georgian Colonial

Although this 1923 home has had modern-day renovations, the home owners have kept some history in the home by using several time period-appropriate materials when making renovations. The owners said, “We are delighted to offer our home on this tour and would love to share stories of our crazy trials and travails of old-house ownership!”
Old Church Transformed into a Designer’s Dream

This unique property was once St. Timothy’s Lutheran Church. The church was purchased in 2016 and completely transformed into a beautiful home. The current home owners are artists and interior designers. Come see how their hard work and talent has transformed the church into the house it is today.
1850s Home Brought into the Modern World

This stunning home has a history dating back to the 1850s. Come hear about previous owners starting over 100 years ago. Although this is the oldest home on the tour, the home was completely gutted and every inch was redesigned and renovated in 2017. The home now boasts a more open, modern feel but has a few features original to the house including the two-story barn and the servants stairwell.
Paradise on the Park

This reverse floor plan home has the most pristine backyard leading to Sidecut Park and the Maumee River. The home has had recent renovations and it's an entertainer’s dream. You won’t want to miss the two 4-car attached garages, a classic car collector’s dream. Make sure you look closely in the backyard, it is a well-known deer habitat.
Historic Charmer Turned Tea House

This charming historic home has always been well known in the community. It was home to some of maumee’s finest in the late 1800’s. The home has since been transformed into the well-loved Clara J’s Tea Room. The new second floor bed and breakfast will also be featured on the tour. Don’t miss the chance to tour “Suite Tea.”
Celebrating 200 Years!

Maumee First Presbyterian Church will also be a featured property of the Holiday Home Tour. The church is celebrating 200 years since it was established. Some of the original members were said to be the founding fathers of Maumee. The church itself was built in 1837 and has been beautifully preserved. Come see the holiday decor shine brightly in this captivating church.
