Mary Staple, a REALTOR® with the Novotny Group, brings a lifelong connection and deep affection for the Sylvania community to her work. Having grown up in the area and lived there for 33 of the last 35 years, Mary has a profound appreciation for its quaint community feel and beautiful local parks.
Mary's passion for real estate began in middle school, driven by a desire to help people navigate significant life transitions. She holds a double major in marketing and professional sales from the University of Toledo, a foundation that honed her skills in understanding and meeting client needs. Prior to becoming a realtor, Mary spent years in management and outside sales at a Fortune 500 company, Fastenal, where she sold industrial and construction supplies. This experience equipped her with exceptional negotiation skills and a meticulous, client-focused approach. A self-described "perfectionist," Mary is deeply committed to ensuring her clients' journeys are smooth and successful. She also holds a professional staging designation, adding a valuable service that helps her clients' homes stand out.
Beyond her professional life, Mary is an active and engaged member of the Sylvania community. She is a dedicated advocate for local businesses, with Grumpy's salads and Erin Ann's in downtown Sylvania being some of her favorites, especially given her own gluten-free diet. Mary's commitment to her community extends to her philanthropic work; she serves on the board for Leading Families Home, volunteers regularly at Family House, and contributes to the kids' ministry at her church. In her free time, she enjoys cooking, listening to 80s music, and spreading laughter. She proudly calls the Farmbrook/Monarch Meadows neighborhood home-the very same one she grew up in.
Mary is a member of the Northwest Ohio REALTORS® (NOR), Ohio REALTORS®, and National Association of REALTORS®. Mary is a vital part of the locally owned brokerage firm, The Danberry Company, where she is one of over 300 real estate professionals providing customized, boutique service to area residents. The firm achieved over 4,000 transactions in addition to obtaining $2.8 billion in sales volume.
